My Mom Was Watching Korean Shows And I Couldn’t Look Away
So my mom was sitting in the living room one day. On her phone watching something. Some Korean drama thing. I remember thinking at that moment maybe I should look into the best Korean language course in Delhi so I could understand what she was watching. But I didn’t do anything about it. But with Korean I could read.
I told my wife when I got home. She was like “You can read Korean?” I said yeah. She was like “What can you read?” I said I can read the sounds. She was like “But you don’t know what it means?” I said no but I can read it.
Learning The Alphabet Was Actually Simple
Twenty-four letters basically. That’s it.
Min taught us the shapes. Taught us the sounds. And it actually stuck.
I went home and started reading random Korean text I found online. Like Korean restaurant menus. Korean signs. Just reading them.
Couldn’t understand what anything said. But I could pronounce it.
